компания "ventra" our client, a major oil and gas company, is looking for experienced telecom specialist. responsibilities: telecom support person is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications and network systems and equipment, such as data and voice systems, peripheral equipment, satellite, mobile digital terminal equipment, multi-line telephone systems, electronic processors, microwave radios, transmitters, receivers, consoles and other communications equipment the contractor shall be held responsible for poor performance of the job duties, violation of the employment agreement provisions, local regulations and requirements of the rf legislation as specified by the rf labor code. delivers “level 2 (l2)” telecom and network support ensuring quality, reliable, timely and friendly service; acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with telecommunication technology, implements solutions, notifies it management, or outsource providers as required; coordination of problem and change management as required; installs, upgrades, and maintains telecommunication/network systems (i.e. lan, wan, voice, satellite, microwave, fiber optic, etc.), performs basic telecom administration and security functions ensuring system integrity and security; troubleshoots problems within telecommunication/network environment and peripheral equipment, including problems with hardware and software (i.e. lan, wan, phone problems, etc.); makes purchase recommendations, including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services; interfaces and coordinates with local and remote companychr(39)s it project leaders and support specialists to perform project work (i.e. office moves, new office installation, new network connection setup, etc.); arranges for hardware repairs with vendors and original equipment manufacturers; assists in telecom inventory of equipment and dispatching process as required; provides one-on-one customer training; support of remote sites as required (i.e. fields locations, drilling facilities/rigs, construction sites); follows safety, security & controls company guidelines and best practices when performing duties; develops and maintains site/operation documentation; shares information and learnings with team members; demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease outages, streamline work processes, and work jointly with management or third-parties to provide high quality service; other duties as required and determined by it department in accordance with applicable rules and regulations; performs assignments in a safe and diligent manner, follow labour safety rules, timely inform the supervisor about any incidents, injuries, near misses and potential hazards at his/her working place or at others’ working places if witnessed. requirements: teamwork & customer oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills; planning and organizing own work; good understanding of general networking principles and technology, specifically tcp/ip; knowledge of wide area networking and network security and voice systems; basic understanding of windows operating system configuration, variety of pc desktop products (particularly microsoft); good understanding of telecom/computing security and controls. technical or high education college degree related to telecommunication environment; training + certification on cisco, motorola (optional), microsoft; good english oral and written communication skills. conditions: contract via ventra voluntary medical insurance, social package 28/28 - de-kastri
