компания "bat kazakhstan" bat is evolving at pace - truly like no other organisation. to achieve the ambition, we have set for ourselves, we are looking for colleagues who are ready to live our ethos every day. come be a part of this journey! bat kazahstan is looking for a marketing legal counsel seniority level: experienced professional function: lex location: almaty what will be your accountabilities? providing legal advice and support on a wide range of business activities; advising on tobacco regulatory framework with a proper understanding of the main terms and conditions of tobacco control law, antimonopoly and other applicable laws; advising on general business law issues and managing the commercial legal issues of all areas of the company (brand, trade, supply chain, commercial finance and strategic planning &insights matters), including but not limited to matters related to product safety and esg (environmental law); drafting and negotiating simple and complex contracts including but not limited to those related to track and trace, distribution, supply, service agreements and other typical contracts; secure compliance of business activities (distribution, supply and sale activities) with relevant laws and regulations; ensure compliance with the internal controls, procedures and other formalities; calculate and mitigate legal risks in business process and decision making; proactively communicate legal concepts to business colleagues in clear, simple terms; essential experience, skills and knowledge: higher completed education in law and practical commercial legal experience of not less than 3 (three) years; working knowledge of commercial law, company law, antimonopoly regulation (preferably working as an in-house lawyer in fmcg or as consultant in international legal firms/consulting firms); experience in dealing with government and regulatory authorities; effective negotiation skills; ability to apply knowledge of legal drafting to produce standard business critical agreements and adapt creatively where necessary; strong inter-personal, oral and written communication skills; fluent knowledge of kazakh, russian and english (excellent written and spoken); appropriate level of maturity to provide credibility at senior levels externally and internally.
