компания "филиал корпорации тетра тек и-эс, инк в республике казахстан" tetra tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide. we combine the resources of a global, multibillion-dollar company with local, client-focused delivery in more than 400 locations around the world. we are leading with science® to provide sustainable and resilient solutions for our clients. tetra tech is implementing the united states agency for international development (usaid) power central asia (pca) activity in central asia since october 2020. the usaid’s power central asia (pca) activity is designed to support the national governments in kazakhstan, the kyrgyz republic, tajikistan, turkmenistan and uzbekistan to implement energy sector reforms, achieve clean energy goals, promote the generation and integration of renewable energy, and improve energy efficiency. the activity commenced in october 2020 and aims to give the central asian countries the tools, skills, and technologies to develop secure and reliable power systems. by ensuring the stability of national power grids and national power sector liberalization reforms, the activity is enabling and supporting the creation of a regional energy market that allows for smooth cross-border and regional power trade. collectively, these initiatives will lead to increased economic growth and social development in central asia. the communications specialist will be a key member of pca’s communications team, working closely with the senior communications specialist and the communications and gender and social inclusion (gesi) specialist. s/he will have the following responsibilities under the supervision of the senior communications specialist: responsibilities: support the implementation of all aspects of the pca communications strategy/plan with the communications team; manage the content of the activity’s website (writing/translating/uploading/updating) to publicize pca activities and share news/knowledge in english and russian; identify/produce content about key accomplishments to be used in various communications products, such as social media posts, success stories, fact sheets, infographics, press releases, talking points, and other copy; work with pca’s graphic designer to produce modern, compelling visual graphics, templates, etc.; coordinate production of the activity’s quarterly newsletter, i.e., compile stories and information from technical and other team members and upload content into an e-newsletter format; compile a weekly new bulletin covering major energy news regionally and globally to share with usaid and for use on the pca’s website; coordinate with and direct vendors to obtain video and photography of pca activities and maintain a photo and video library for use in various knowledge and communications products; check reports, presentations, event agendas, and other products to ensure they adhere to usaid branding and marking guidelines; contribute to monitoring and reporting on achieved results and targets in communications; format presentations, reports, deliverables and communications products to ensure they adhere to usaid branding and marking guidelines and manage the formatting process in coordination with members of the communications, operations and technical teams; support formatting and editing project deliverables to be compliant with the usaid development experience clearing house (dec) and assist with uploading them to the usaid dec; manage uploading and categorizing of deliverables produced and submitted to usaid on the project’s internal server so that documents can be easily located and shared; provide backup administrative support on occasion as required, including maintaining the project electronic filing system, taking meeting minutes, and responding to inquiries; support other communications and administrative tasks as required. requirements: bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, international development, or other related field; at least 3 years of professional experience in the field; fluency in russian and english required. fluency in kazakh is a plus; excellent written and oral communication skills in english is a must; proven experience in developing communication materials, including social media content, brochures, success stories, website content, etc.; experience working on usaid or other donor funded projects is a plus; experience working on energy projects is a plus; experience working with government agencies, industry associations and academic institutions is a plus;
