компания "specific-group" specific-group software solutions develops custom software solutions for corporate clients in austria, germany, italy, slovakia and usa. for doing this we have sales and service divisions in the local markets and development centers in belarus (minsk and grodno). currently we are seeking for a middle database administrator to join our team. the database administrator (dba) is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including development of databases. it is extremely important to the company that online processing database systems offer the highest reliability and performance possible. the dba is challenged to work with all teams including architecture, application development and operations to help to achieve stable environment that meets current and future business objectives. responsibilities: design and develop complex etl using ssis or other similar tools. if required should write c# on ssis develop sql scripts, triggers, stored procedures and reports using t-sql monitor and provide database root cause analysis on dev, qa and production database servers understand database bottlenecks and alerts on redgate and report them if critical familiar with ssrs, powerbi or any similar reporting tools reviews and tests new technologies and architectures that support and are aligned with applications maintain consolidated data warehousing for all the distributed applications for effective reporting needs should have basic sql server administrative duties to be performed on day to day maintain a complete data cluster solution using alwayson for high availability for all clients implement logship on sql server to create secondary copy for reporting needs responsible for the modeling, definition, creation, and maintenance of the database resource works closely with a team of developers and is involved in design decisions provides developers consulting on performance and optimizing sql scripts keeping up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments your qualifications & key criterias: 2+ years of experience of any version of sql server 2014 and above experience with databases and etl implementation and maintenance advanced knowledge of writing sql scripts working knowledge of source control interest in data modeling exposure to uml or other associated object orientated design methodologies strong experience of relational databases, backup and restore operations, db logins/permissions, stored procedures, schema, triggers, database maintenance activity, etc. ssis development installing & upgrading sql server (good to have) sql server performance monitoring/maintenance/troubleshooting basis powershell and bash strong understanding of the database development life cycle including data modeling, database coding, testing, and implementation. understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques intermediate+ english level (is a must) good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills technical documentation skills ability to present ideas in user-friendly language self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment ability to work with competing priorities and to work unsupervised benefits: competitive salary long-term austrian, german and us projects professional growth (professional trainings, knowledge sharing meet-ups and etc) career perspectives business trips to austria annual assessment and salary review transparent and clear management friendly colleagues and atmosphere extensive benefit package: - medical insurance, - fully covered sick leave for 14 calendar days in a year, - compensation of external professional courses and trainings, - english courses, - additional holidays, - financial bonuses, - corporate gifts on special events, - free parking spots, - fruity days and etc. company parties and team buildings flexible working hours (you can start till 11am, duration of working week is 40h) nice corporate equipment (incl. second monitor) comfortable well-equipped office in the city center (with kitchen, meeting rooms and event space)
