компания "acted branch" responsibilities: the effective governance for economic development (eged) program of the uk foreign, commonwealth and development office (fcdo) will help improve the effectiveness, accountability and transparency of economic policies in uzbekistan, tajikistan and kyrgizistan. the program will support governments to generate better data and evidence, use this data for policy design and implementation of up to 15 economic reforms, improved coordination within government, and better engagement with citizens. it will also build the capacity of civil society to participate in the policy process, represent the needs of citizens and hold the governments to account on sеlесteconomic policies.using an adaptive management approach, the programme manager (pm) or senior programme officer will be responsible for ensuring strategic direction, coherence and effectiveness of the eged pillar 2 project in uzbekistan within the time and resources allocated. she/he will ensure all activities are designed and implemented based on rigorous technical analysis and sound justification, hold project team and partners accountable for technical quality and rigour, and provide technical oversight and mentoring to project team members. she/he ensure smooth task flow and information management within the team as well as sound coordination with other acted programmes and departments, downstream partners, the world bank and fcdo. she/he reports directly to the regional project coordinator.to ensure sound technical quality, coherence and strategic direction of the eged programme in uzbekistan.duties and responsibilities1. programming1.1 project planning1.2 project implementation follow-up1.3 documenting and compliance1.4 beneficiary engagement and accountability1.5 internal coordination1.6 external coordination and stakeholder engagement1.7 partner management1.8 security2. logistics3. finance4. quality control5. grant managementa) offer technical support and inputs to other projects in similar sectors (e.g. boq design);b) any other tasks as assigned by the line manager. requirements to the candidate age:irrelevant gender:irrelevant residence:uzbekistan education:higher professional requirements the successful candidate will be a seasoned expert in governance, accountability, open data and transparency with demonstrated experience designing successful programmes using an adaptive programming approach. depending on the successful candidatechr(39)s competencies and experience, either the programme manager or senior technical programme officer role will be offered.• masterchr(39)s degree in economics, politics, law, sociology or another relevant field with minimum 5 yearschr(39) professional experience; or bachelorchr(39)s degree in a relevant field with minimum 7 yearschr(39) of progressively responsible and relevant experience.• demonstrated success in programme design and delivery with an adaptive style of programme management• high level of technical expertise in 2 or more of the following areas: open data and transparency; data-driven advocacy; economic policy, public policy or public service delivery; civic engagement; citizen accountability in public policy and services.• progressively responsible and relevant experience in international donor funded projects;• demonstrated adaptive management, monitoring, evaluation and learning skills, experience with project-cycle management and results-based management is required;• successful track record engaging with government institutions, authorities and representatives is required;• previous experience managing governance and economic development projects is desired;• previous experience in sub-granting and managing sub-grants to csos;• autonomous, solution-oriented and motivated• demonstrated capacity to write analytical reports is required;• excellent written and spoken communication skills in english, uzbek and russian are required working conditions regiontashkent employment full salary offeredaccording to the interview results additional information:deadline 5 september (23:59) 2022
