компания "bat kazakhstan" bat is evolving at pace - truly like no other organization. to achieve the ambition, we have set for ourselves, we are looking for colleagues who are ready to live our ethos every day. come be a part of this journey! bat kazahstan is looking for a regulatory engagement manager seniority level: experienced professional function: lex location: astana what will be your accountabilities? representing and championing company interests in cooperation with government bodies, non-governmental and public organizations, the media and other interested parties in regulating import and circulation of tobacco products in kazakhstan, including technical regulation, retails/trade requirements, public relations, pricing and taxation; constantly building and maintaining relations with government bodies, non-governmental and public organizations, other industry players, the media and other interested parties in regulating import and circulation of tobacco products through necessary activities including meetings, correspondence etc.; monitoring risks in regulating import and circulation of tobacco products and immediate reporting of any changes in this area to the leadership team; preparing analytical materials and reports for guidance and mitigation of key regulatory risks; providing expert support to company functions on regulatory issues. essential experience, skills and knowledge: university degree; at least 5 years of experience in public service or non-governmental organizations engaged in corporate and/or regulatory affairs; in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of kazakhstani and eeu legislation regulating manufacturing, import and circulation of tobacco products; understanding the political context at the local level, including regulatory and political processes; influencing/negotiation skills in the development of cross-functional and external relations, readiness to debate; in-depth understanding of the tobacco industry, its political, social and economic component is preferable; fluency in kazakh, english and russian. belonging, achieving, together collaboration, diversity and teamwork underpin everything we do here at bat. we know that collaborating with colleagues from different backgrounds is what makes us stronger and best prepared to meet our business goals. come bring your difference!
