This role is part of the GS Russian Finance team responsible for the LE’s reporting in Russia. Core responsibilities include: Responsible for the complete and accurate and timely Statutory Accounting, Tax and Statistic reporting · Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per reporting periods and in accordance with RAP commitments, fully observing Company’s Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements · Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope · Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of RAP and compliance requirements for respective areas Interaction with tax authorities and state funds Develop and maintain procedures, policies, process and working instructions for areas in responsibility Consult business associates upon their request. Improve overall efficiency, search for constant improvements. Develop productive working relationships with associates at all levels Compliance · Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities · Understand, adhere to, and execute worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach · Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings Leadership and People Management · Recruit, onboarding, and training of new joiners, ensure the development of the team Manage team (Payroll, Fixed assets, Statutory reporting, etc) so that target KPI’s are reached, all appropriate policies, procedures and regulations are met, all deadlines are met. · Ability to interact successfully with local teams while at the same time maintaining the GS standardized approach Travel · Up to 5% international travel Qualifications Education: · A minimum of a Master’s level degree or equivalent is required, preferably in accounting or finance Languages: Upper - Intermediate English is a must · Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Russian Required experience and skills: At least 5 years experiences as Chief accountant and/or Deputy Chief accountant, with experience in full-cycle statutory and tax reporting · At least 3 year of Management / Supervisory experience is required · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels · Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies · Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach · Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines · Solid RAP accounting knowledge · Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office Preferred experience and skills: · Experience in business separation process · Experience in an Accounting function of a large multi-state company · Strong Analytical Skills Other: · Lead/Participate in other Cross functional duties as assigned
