Junior Associate (International Sanctions and Compliance)

Sanctions Practice of the Firm is in a search of the rising sanctions and compliance star to join its team. You’d be faced with multiple project in a fast-pacing environment across different industries. The role is demanding, yet provide worthy growth opportunities.For this role we expect a commitment for no less than 12 months. Requirements and qualifications: Full degree in law (HSE, MSIIR or LLM abroad are desired); Experience in sanctions and compliance; Experience in legal consultancy (critical); Expertise in international sanctions application peculiarities; Fluency in English and excellent Legal English skill (critical). The Junior Associate will: 1) Assist those above with a research on matter of sanctions law and compliance under a project work by:a) Researching case law (judicial (U.S. Federal, EU Courts, administrative (OFAC,BIS, OEE, OFSI, etc.);b) Providing drafts of and contributing to the work on the documents under the assignments assigned (memos, claims, contracts, license applications, compliance policies, etc.;c) Providing a technical assistance, including, but not limiting to proofread and translation drafts;2) Assist the Sanctions Practice leadership in an external work for business development by:a) Drafting presentations;b) Assisting with texts drafting and narration planning for the external events (public and private client events, conferences, webinars, etc.) Conditions: Competitive salary; Challenging tasks; Excellent opportunities for professional growth; Supportive working environment; Your application form will be considered on a strictly confidential basis.
