About the Company: Altenar is a provider of sportsbook software and services to licensed gaming operators. Ranging from ‘software-only’ product offers to the provision of a fully-managed sports betting platform stack, Altenar offers proven stability coupled with a flexible and personalised service. Our software is developed and operated in-house, whilst being powered by premium quality data feeds. We are looking for a Team leader of PHP development team who will be responsible for the development of our in-house integration platform and portal technology stack and manage a team of software developers. The Team leader is a key member of our development team. The ideal candidate would participate in development processes, handle all aspects of the software development cycle and work alongside a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the core components of our software. You will have the ability to work with cutting edge technologies and enhances team’s competence and skills Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of 3+ members Write high-quality code Maintain existing applications and improve their features Create new applications from scratch Review and merge code Work with QA to outline plans of testing Create and maintain software documentation Stay connected and up to date with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into our products Communicate and manage all phases of active projects in the fast-paced environment. Follow industry best practices Regularly provide and receive open and constructive feedback on performance, behaviour and skills. Conduct performance reviews according to the company’s current policies and processes and in cooperation with Human Resources and Reporting Manager. Drive recruitment activities for the team. Travel domestically and/or internationally for business as needed.  Requirements: Have 4+ years of professional software development experience with PHP You have 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems. Have already managed a team of 3+ Have experience in both engineering and coaching Have a Bachelorchr(39)s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Have experience in fostering a culture of modern engineering practices. Have a working knowledge of Unix/Linux and object-oriented programming in PHP. Have a solid understanding of OOP and design patterns Proficiency designing and building APIs using PHP. Experience and knowledge of a modern PHP framework, such as Symphony, Laravel, Yii2 or any other Knowledge of the Yii2 framework would be considered an advantage Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, RPC) Good working knowledge of Git, Linux CLI is an advantage Good understanding of relational databases (mysql, postgresql) Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques. Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.
