Technical Translator

компания "бюро веритас казахстан индастриал сервисез" responsibilities: provide translation / interpretation services to the project management/leadership team travel with the project leadership team, attending business / technical meetings within rok. translate technical, planning, construction, legal, price calculation, and estimate documentation proof read, edit, and revise translated materials. provide simultaneous spoken interpretation during meetings, and site inspection visits check original texts and confer with authors to ensure the translation retains the content, meaning, and accuracy of the original document. confirm translation of technical terms and terminology to ensure accuracy remains consistent throughout translated revision. compile a database of technical terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms such as legal material. confers with technical reference materials dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias, and computerized terminology banks as needed to ensure translation accuracy. translate messages simultaneously, consecutively and accurately into specified languages, verbally maintaining original content, context, and style. listen to speakers; statements in order to determine meaning to prepare translation, using electronic listening systems (telecoms, conference calls etc) train and supervise junior translators/interpreters. requirements: higher linguistic education confirmed by diploma from specialized institution. 1 year of work experience as a translator/interpreter in different oil & gas producing and processing ventures & enterprises. ability to provide qualitative bilingual technical translation services. good understanding of technical and business subjects as related to the oil & gas industry, good grasp of general and technical english and russian, good vocabulary and ability to correctly use it. experience in interpretation of multi-discipline meetings covering different subjects. good pc skills. must have good understanding and working knowledge of standard microsoft desktop applications, ms word, excel, powerpoint, outlook etc. and other most common package like adobe acrobat, visio etc.
