компания "gurtam" gurtam is a telematics and iot solutions developer. 300+ gurtam professionals from different countries contribute their knowledge and experience to the development and evolution of our innovative products and niche solutions. for 20 years, we have been developing our main product and launching new projects that no one had done before. the team that cares has led us to success. here, we strive to foster a community where everyone is appreciated and valued by providing enough space for development and influence on the common goals. we love what we do — thatchr(39)s what energizes us.we are looking for a python team lead to work with the team and take an active part in product development. responsibilities: team organization and management hiring and onboarding. managing and mentoring the companychr(39)s products. assistance in planning and distribution of tasks. assistance in adapting the companychr(39)s processes within the team. organization and support of team activities. conducting 1-on-1 meetings. solving architectural issues conducting technical research. checking product hypotheses for feasibility. development of technical standards. api design and documentation. work on tasks from the backlog implementation of new functionality (product features). working on technical debt. refactoring. bugfixing. writing modules/libraries for common product needs. participation in code review. memory usage optimization. we expect: experience in managing a team or mentoring several engineers from 1 year. strong knowledge of python 3 and experience with at least one of the frameworks (django, tornado, aiohttp). experience with sql / nosql / newsql databases. experience in writing unit tests. independence and the ability to take responsibility for their work. how our work processes look like the engineering department is organized according to the principle of a matrix structure: we have functional departments (for example, front-end, qa, backend, etc.), which allows us to accumulate expertise within the department, regardless of what projects and tasks team members work on, as well as develop common standards for work. each functional department has a team lead, who is responsible for both the departmentchr(39)s employees and the quality of decisions, and also helps with the distribution of employees to projects. all employees of the engineering department can be involved in either one or several projects and conduct their daily activities together with frontend and backend engineers, qa engineers, product managers and business analysts (we never limit communications and any employee can freely talk to anyone in the company). we strive for standardized processes (now it is an agile development), so that when a project changes, there is no need to additionally understand the question "how does the development process work on this project?". we practice moving employees between projects within our product, but we always take into account the opinion and workload of each engineer. in addition to project activities, there are also activities within functional departments to maintain standards and keep abreast of plans for the future. what we offer work in an international company where yet each person matters; result-driven, friendly, and supportive team; developing a product of excellent quality that makes our world a better place; flexible work options without time and location tracking; social package: professional and business training, individual foreign language training, corporate library, 20 fully covered psychological sessions, team building events, corporate presents.
