R&D Lead

компания "notanotherone" notanotherone is looking for a talented technical lead / r&d lead, who would perform several crucial roles within our organization. you will be responsible for research, planning, and implementing new programs and protocols into our company. you will also be responsible for evaluation of technical feasibility of hw projects, as well as selection of proper components, technologies and partners for successful realization of the prospective projects. last, but not least, you will be required to oversee the entire development process of new products and programs within the organization. your active participation will be required from the initial planning phase to implementation or production. additionally, you are required to review all the costs related to the creation of these new products and decide what ideas are worth pursuing. you should also stay informed on what is happening in the research and development field at large to make sure the company is up-to-date and current with the most advanced r&d developments; last, but not least - you would have to stay in touch with technology vendors, both existing and potential, to have an access to all the latest and greatest developments out there. responsibilities of an r&d lead job include: lead key projects with r&d to support business goals. ensure successful introduction and sustaining of best-in-breed, high quality, manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable products. develop research programs, incorporating current developments and / or latest technological advancements to improve existing products and study the potential of new products. understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured products. determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers. support director to hire and develop r&d personnel. drive together with purchasing and operations the sourcing strategy including make-buy decisions, supplier selection, and contract management. ensure successful introduction and sustaining of high quality, manufacturable, serviceable, and reliable products. establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with sales, marketing and engineering. transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes across departments within the company and, if needed, out of the company (external clients, suppliers, etc.) research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment. manage manufacturing department (located in shenzhen, china) monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting of goals. manage customer and vendor relations and perform rfp / rfq reviews, customer visits, and product testing. establish and maintain testing procedures for assessing raw materials, in-process and finished products. assess the scope of research projects and ensure they are on time and within budget. be present at industry conferences on research topics of interest. education qualifications a minimum of bachelor’s degree (master’s degree - preferred) in the electronic engineering, telecommunications and relevant fields of knowledge. proofs of continued education (e-courses, vendor certifications, etc.) would be beneficial. requirements at least 5 years of demonstrated ability as a technical leader, expertise within both consumer and industrial electronics domain will be considered a plus demonstrated work experience with south-east asian manufacturing partners / suppliers proven experience of participation in all the phases of successful npd process, from concept to mass production to end of life hands-on experience in managing or leading a team of employees, managing remote teams would be considered a plus. experience in a highly regulated environments is beneficial solid understanding of and proficiency in management tools and procedures for setting and tracking performance, quality, time, and cost technical skills in hw engineering, including platform development and reuse. general grasp in embedded sw engineering you have a consistent track record in organizational change and the ability to handle cultural differences. a strong sense of creativity aids in the process of thinking of new product ideas and solving problems creatively. great problem-solving skills. ability to pay attention to details. the ability to communicate efficiently with customers and colleagues on on both c-level, managerial and lower levels ability to multitask efficiently and good at managing time. good business sense. we offer: vmi with dentistry from the first day of work; flexible start of the working day; english courses with a native speaker in the office; excellent opportunities for professional growth; salary is high and stable; working with advanced technologies in an excellent team;
