компания "кэпитал тауэр девелопмент" critical competences: specific tasks that will need to be completed in order to perform job ability to understand guest inquiries and provide responses. ability to focus on details and guestschr(39) needs. ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. ability to work well under pressure of check-in/check-out. physically strong to place, remove guest luggage to/from guest room. ability to remain calm at assigned post for extended periods of time. ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. essential job function: transport guest luggage from the point of arrival at the hotel to their assigned room. transport guest luggage from one room to another. transport guest luggage from their room to the point of departure from the hotel. assist in locating guestchr(39)s lost luggage. correctly tag, store and retrieve luggage from holding room. identify and explain hotel facilities and features to guests while escorting them to their room. identify fire exit closest to guestchr(39)s room and explain safety features of assigned room. demonstrate use of room key to guests. place guest luggage inside room. identify and explain guest room features to include use of: air conditioning/heat units and thermostat controls telephone television clock radio guest services directory mini-bar in room safe lights bathroom amenities dry-cleaning/laundry services door lock ice and vending areas services emergency procedures offer packing/unpacking service, pressing and laundry service. maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hotel to direct guests to correct locations. maintain accurate knowledge of local attractions and activities to recommend for guest inquiries. explain directions of transportation within the local area. maintain accurate log record of guest calls for bell person assistance. answer bell stand telephone within 3 rings using correct greeting and telephone etiquette. handle guest complaints by following the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction. remain in assigned post position, maintaining correct stance. retrieve guest dry cleaning/laundry from their rooms and deliver to laundry/dry cleaning. deliver the following items to guest rooms promptly: messages mail, faxes packages flowers other items requested by guest gifts deliver designated newspaper by 5:00 a.m. to specified guest rooms. monitor and maintain cleanliness of lobby areas and luggage holding room. polish brass luggage carts and maintain cleanliness of carts. ensure confidentiality of hotel guests and security of guest room access. carry out official orders of the immediate manager. successful completion of the training/certification process. to follow fire and work safety regulations.
