компания "cqg" the primary objective of this position is to maintain and monitor the software and hardware of cqg’s processing of exchange real-time data, and to ensure the highest level of reliability and performance is available to our customers at all times. we are looking for a junior system administrator who has some skills and working knowledge of linux & windows operating systems, able to speak and write in english language (b1+) and ready to work in a distributed multi-national team. responsibilities support critical production environments monitor software health using proprietary monitoring tools, investigate and resolve any irregularities work closely with product development to troubleshoot and eliminate critical software issues assist customer support with investigation of non-trivial customer inquiries requiring high level of technical knowledge monitor hardware state, perform initial investigation of failures and follow up on problems with warranty providers monitor and analyze system metrics to ensure system performance is within expected parameters identify performance bottlenecks and recommend hardware specifications to satisfy changing system needs manage system hardware in distributed collocation environment (remote) perform os deployments and initial configuration of new hardware deploy new versions of tickerplant software to various environments education and experience bachelors or masters degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills knowledge, skills and abilities required working knowledge of linux operating systems (centos & almalinux). working knowledge of windows operating systems. excellent prioritizing and team work skills high attention to detail ability to efficiently multi-task ability to speak and write in english language ability to work in a distributed multi-national team firm grasp of networking concepts and principals good analytical skills to deal with complex problems involving many system components ability and desire to work in a fast paced highly technical environment desired prior exposure to the financial industry is a plus experience with awx / ansible scripting/automation experience (powershell, python, ansible) familiarity and experience working with modern rack servers and nas solutions (preferably dell/emc) experience with infrastructure monitoring solutions (grafana, checkmk, nagios) experience with dell servers-specific software tools working conditions the position is based in cqg’s samara location and may require some extended day shift hours and some weekend work (it will be paid according with russian labor code requirements). full-time only benefits medical insurance (includes dental services) for the employee and his/her family meals: the company provides office kitchen with all the necessary for breakfast & lunch reimbursement of transportation costs english language classes flexible vacation schedule (28 days per year), paid sick leave days (100%)
