Algorithms Research Engineer

компания "arrival ltd" we are currently seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in researching and developing battery algorithms. you will be part of a battery algorithm development team passionate about improving and building state-of-charge, state-of-power, and state-of-health algorithms suited for electric vehicles. responsibilities work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance battery control strategy and battery performance in conjunction with battery software, test, design engineers, and data scientists, research and develop battery models and algorithms in matlab / simulink battery cell model parameterization develop state estimation algorithms for battery state of charge, energy, health, and power develop models to track and predict the lifetime of cell electrical performance using mathematical/machine learning techniques develop high-performance battery algorithms suitable for embedded processor application develop tools to evaluate algorithm performance collaborate with the team to determine and achieve battery performance and lifetime targets in conjunction with battery test engineers, develop test plans to validate cell models and algorithms in conjunction with system engineers, develop integration tests to validate battery algorithms in the vehicle analyze and interpret test and simulation data produce documentation describing models and algorithms expertise bachelor, masters degree (desired) or ph.d. in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering 3+ years of experience in battery algorithm research and development experience in battery cell model characterization and parameterization experience with developing battery state estimation algorithms – soc, soe, sop, soh proficiency in the use of matlab/simulink for algorithm design, data analysis, and visualization test and simulation data analysis knowledge of developing solutions using control theories like kalman filters, state observers, and others. experience in writing codes to analyze large data sets produce test requirements and procedures to characterize and validate cell models strong ability to define technical problems and carry out research independently excellent english in writing and speaking nice to have statistical and machine learning algorithm design proficiency in the use of optimization algorithms
