SAP Basis Administrator (international project)

BearingPoint Russia is looking for SAP Basis Administrator (freelance) for brand name FMCG company support project. We need the professional with strong technical hands-on experience who will perform SAP software installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, as well as performance analysis, recommend and implement improvements. SAP Basis Administrator will closely work with SAP Platform, SAP functional and Infrastructure teams. Responsibilities: Scope includes maintenance/configuration of SAP NW AS ABAP 7.x, SAP NW AS JAVA 7.x software; Perform incidents troubleshooting with regular updates and apply corrections in accordance with the change management process (raise the change records with implementation plan); coordinate other infrastructure teams if needed; Analyze, recommend, and apply improvements into above platforms including performance tuning; Perform core Basis functions (corrections, enhancement packs, support packs, kernel updates, system clones, DB refreshes); Provide and maintain quality technical documentation and share the knowledge for activities above; Collaboration with support team abroad. Requirements: Experience in SAP Basis administration (3+ years), including experience in standard SAP procedures such as client copies, database refreshes, patching, transport management, upgrades and performance tuning of database and SAP applications; Experience within SAP Platform to undertake analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving to resolve issues; Experience in writing technical documentation to support SAP Platform; Good understanding of Linux OS (primarily RedHat 7.x, 8) usage for above work is also expected; Knowledge and experience in setting up and administration of Oracle GRID, Oracle DataGuard, RMAN, OEM would be a plus; Knowledge and experience in setting up and administration of SAP NW high availability scenarios would be a plus; Excellent problem solving and learning skills; Drive for results; Good communication skills; Good level of English (writing and speaking).
