компания "jacobs douwe egberts (jde)" the r&d pack technical expert is responsible for leading the development/adaptation of packaging material specifications to meet the needs of the consumer, customer, distribution, shelf life, product protection, filling line performance and national regulations all within instant and multi serve categories leading as well the next step of our sustainability journey for these categories. the r&d pack technical expert will work closely together with local pack engineers, global packaging team and packing materials suppliers. what this role is expected to deliver: seek new ideas relevant to coffee packaging, close collaborate with pack suppliers in new/alternative pack materials development with deep dive into pack materials structure (mostly for laminates, membranes, sleeves, glues), driving forward strategically relevant innovations, including materials improvements, processes to aid cost savings and improve efficiency development of new structures/specifications for packaging materials (laminates, wads, paperbased materials) with following of market tendencies and capabilities and aligned with market requirements deep analysis of existing structures and transfer them to more rational with using the latest technologies incentives of suppliers to conduct scientific and technical activities establish a network with existing suppliers, plus develop new suppliers in conjunction with procurement. maintain contact with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure supplier understands and meets jde technical requirements and timings research of pack materials market, competitors’ products, innovations in packing area through analysis of special literature, scientific research, collaboration with pack suppliers etc. provide technical support and leadership for new product development & adaptation projects support &/or lead technology projects up to process build & implementation plan and coordinate trials on jde plants, coman and suppliers’ areas close collaboration with wider jde cross-functional teams (e.g. procurement and marketing) leading technical input and where relevant to push the category forward prepare specifications from supplier data and experimental/trial work. ensure all relevant safety and regulatory certification etc. is available before production maintain up to date specifications in our internal systemwhat we are looking for: master or phd in industrial design, chemistry, packaging technology, food technology, sustainability (or related discipline) at least 4+ years experience of working within a packaging development type position ideally within an fmcg environment entrepreneurship mindset and great collaboration skills thorough understanding of packaging materials & waste management technologies including industry trends and developments intermediate level in english demonstrable project management skills are essential, together with the ability to operate in a complex, multi-national environment analytical thinking and attention to detail an ability to work at pace and make quick decisions is really important. where you are able to deal with an ambiguous environment is critical. we offer: opportunity to become coffee champion (including coffee essentials trainings) excitement from working and learning in the international and multicultural environment with high potential to growth extensive functional and leadership training and development programs competitive salary package compensations & benefits package, which includes: medical insurance, life insurance, meal allowance rewards & recognition program permanent contract
