компания "ge (general electric company)" ge (nyse:ge) drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges. by combining world-class engineering with software and analytics, ge helps the world work more efficiently, reliably, and safely. ge people are global, diverse and dedicated, operating with the highest integrity and passion to fulfill ge’s mission and deliver for our customers. responsibilities: accurately and timely perform all related to ap transactions general accounting activities based on ras and us gaap in the business general ledgers; ensure transactions are done in erp system before sl cut-off, journals are booked to reflect financial activities in compliance with above same (may include some or all of: ap transactions, accruals, manual transactions when needed, closing open items etc); manage and perform month end stat close activities and ensure submission within deadlines; ensure timely and defect-free account reconciliations according to stat rules; prepare internal reports by requests; proactively review processes vs oracle payables system to ensure compliance to prepare for audits; work with internal/external audit to support local vat, statutory and tax compliance; drive system changes in ap; serve bridge interface with bud hub where needed; provide full support of uat ap process and serve as quality controller for acceptance of innovations into live. support launch of ap changes during control period; follow and enforce controllership and compliance policies while maintaining strong working relationship with all external and internal business partners; audit support: tax authorities’ audits (desk and field audits), kpmg audit; other ap/stat related duties\requests as assigned; provide support to businesses on relevant issues; build and maintain strong working relationships with the local ge businesses; effectively support various ge teams with data requests. the successful candidate possesses: finance/accounting degree or equivalent. minimum 3 years of experience in accounting with russian accounting standards and vat taxation and working knowledge of us gaap, or clear commitment and willingness to learn us gaap expert knowledge of finance processes and ap contracts. excellent methodology knowledge for ap area strong it and financial system skills: proficient in ms office, xl in particular, oracle or sap as advantage intermediate or above english skills, both oral and written strong time management and multitasking skills self-starter, result- oriented person with ability to work under pressure desire to grow and develop a finance career
