компания "lightspeed" lightspeed is a leading provider of pos-systems which helps retail & e-сommerce, hospitality businesses (hotels and restaurants), golf clubs transform and unify digital and physical operations by enabling multichannel sales, expansion to new locations, global payments, financial solutions and connection to supplier networks. we’re looking for a full-time accountant in georgia. as an accountant you will manage day-to-day financial operations of the company and will report to our headquarters in canada. you will play a key role in accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and audit activities across the organization and may be involved in accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls supporting a multi-jurisdiction operating model. if you’re interested in the opportunity to expand your skills by working with the finance team of a growing technology global company, this may be the position for you! ❑ responsibilities be a financial liaison between the corporate team in usa and local team, contractors, and vendors in georgia. help with local financial reporting and maintaining the books in accordance with ifrs and any additional requirements regulated by any other local laws or normative acts. support a timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process and assist with external audits as needed. keeping all local records and contracts in order and supporting the global team with translation upon request. assist with the maintenance of all journal entries, supporting reports, and other routine procedures. prepare documentation to provide an audit trail. make bank payments and manage relationships with local banks, including compliance with foreign currency control requirements. perform additional duties and run ad-hoc reports as assigned ❑ what you must have: 3+ year experience in senior accounting role experience with month end accounting close extensive knowledge of ms excel and pivot tables excellent english and russian speaking and writing skills excellent knowledge of georgian strong communication and interpersonal skills knowledge and experience with cloud-based erp systems preferred (netsuite) ❑ what would be nice to have: bachelor’s degree in accounting ❑ what we offer: lots of autonomy. flexible work culture, and the possibility of remote work. everyone matters. day by day, we improve all our products and processes. we have a global team and flexible work culture that provides many opportunities to grow and develop your career. we care. we provide pcs for our team members so they can take it anywhere and work from any place. we provide training and educational materials to keep everyone updated. we have a concierge service. if you need to meet someone at the airport, get delivery, or even change tires on your car, we have a team that will do that for you. we are reliable. lightspeed was founded in 2004 and remains profitable and self-sustaining. lightspeed is a public company, and we provide rsu for our employees. we have a head office in montreal, canada, and now we are opening offices in tbilisi and yerevan. we also have more than 25 offices worldwide, from france to new zealand.
